The Advanced Vein
Center is one of the very few medical offices in the country
specializing in LES-Vein© (Laser Endovenous Saphenous Vein)
Procedure. We do all therapy in our office on an outpatient basis with the
patient awake and able to resume normal activity immediately.
LES-Vein© is a revolutionary treatment that almost eliminates the need
for older surgical treatments for varicose veins and has a 97% success rate.
Our advanced techniques enable patients to achieve the best medical and
cosmetic outcome.
The LES-Vein© Procedure works!
Why?
When the valves are damaged, the large
saphenous vein in the leg leaks venous blood under high pressure back
into the small vein system causing
varicose and spider veins to
appear near the surface of the skin. By controlling the leaking of the high
pressure blood through the valves of the saphenous vein, we can
achieve a very high degree of success clearing unwanted veins from the face,
hands, and lower extremities.
How?
We simply insert a small needle into a
vein around the knee and then pass a tiny laser into the large leaky
saphenous vein. Using the laser, we close the vein and then, through a
procedure called a Microphlebectomy, simply and quickly remove any enlarged
varicose veins using a tiny vein hook. Any discomfort is controlled locally
and there is no need for general anesthesia.
After
LES-Vein©?
Once we have the
controlled large back pressure of venous blood through the
LES-Vein©
procedure, we can then treat the small spider veins with much greater
success than ever before.
About the
Dornier Laser
The
Advanced Vein Center
recently implemented the Dornier Laser. The Dornier diode laser
Medialis D can be applied in many surgical fields: in ear, nose and
throat surgery, endoscopy, urology, pediatric surgery, and orthopedics.
Ansgar Brossardt and Arno Körner's team of designers at ID Design in
Munich designed the device for the manufacturer Dornier.
The laser enables one to perform precise tissue surgery or
percutaneous (i.e. through the skin) treatment of slipped discs and
varicose veins. It can be held in a handy diagonal position. The handle can
be pulled out like a telescope - similar to a shopping trolley - so that the
device can be transported over longer distances inside the clinic.
Dornier's straightforward control surface with integrated LCD screen
contains multifunction buttons which are easy to use. The device was
recently awarded for its exemplary design by the Stuttgart Design
Centre.
